These trousers meet the requirements of the ‘Knee protectors for work in the kneeling position’ type 2, performance level 1 pursuant to DIN EN 14404:2004+A1:2010 in combination with the e.s. Knee pads that were certified for this purpose - see data sheet!

Low weight, maximum freedom to move, and even more durability: The e.s.e:pic ripstop trousers make no compromises. Tear-resistant ripstop fabric and triple reinforcement on the inner leg and seat provide extra stability.
Ripstop means tear-resistant
The e.s.e:pic ripstop trousers do exactly what they promise. In the chessboard-like ripstop weaving process, particularly tear-resistant fabrics are created. In this process, thicker reinforcement threads are typically integrated into the otherwise thinner fabric at intervals of five to eight millimetres. For long-lasting wearing comfort.

Comfort you can’t see but instantly feel: This knee section is something special!
Knee ergonomics
You really have to look closely: The knee pad pockets blend almost invisibly into the design. Even the side zips for inserting the knee pads are hidden! On the inside, the knee pads are secured with Velcro fasteners – for a perfect fit whether you’re standing, walking or kneeling.
Mesh effect
Deep inside, right against your skin, a highly breathable mesh layer keeps things ventilated and stops uncomfortable heat build-up when wearing the trousers with knee pads.
Clip? Sure!
Whether it’s a pen, screwdriver or tape measure – anything with a clip is perfectly stored here. And the discreet clip tool pouch is tougher than it looks: Inside, a firm reinforcement keeps everything securely in place. A small detail, cleverly designed.
