STRAUSS becomes the Official Workwear Partner of Major League Baseball

It’s a walk-off. STRAUSS stretches its Fly Zone to the ballpark.

Starting the 2024 MLB Playoffs, the Ostrich will be seen on MLB batting helmets as the first-ever helmet sponsor for the league’s postseason play.

The home-run deal also extends to Minor League Baseball. Starting in 2025, MiLB fans will see STRAUSS all season long, at games, on billboards, and on helmets.

From the East Coast to West, from the Great Lakes to the deep south and everywhere in between, the American pastime will introduce millions to STRAUSS’ iconic workwear.

The background: for more than ten years, Henning Strauss, President of the legally independent Engelbert Strauss, Inc. has relied on California as the set for the iconic photo and film shoots. Over the years, the crew's question has grown louder and louder: When will you be able to buy the bird in the US?

The answer: as of now!

Engelbert Strauss, Inc. painted the invitation to the store's opening in the skies above L.A.: 500 drones (powered by Sky Elements) provided information about the premiere in Venice above the iconic Santa Monica Pier.

The world's first 100% biodegradable work trousers - made from banana fibre.

Strauss presents: our first fully biodegradable workpants. With tough canvas fabric made from organic hemp and cotton. Banana-fibre reinforcements. And accessories made from bamboo. We asked the experts at the Hohenstein Institute to put these pants' biodegradability credentials to the test. Within three months, the trousers had fully composted - completing their natural cycle.

Strauss Botanica also includes an eco shirt and sweatshirt range, using dyes from beetroot, nutshells and leaves. It's exciting: Strauss now stands for durability and purposeful decay.
