Welcome and thank you for using our CI Cargo Configurator online service.

The protection of your personal data is important to us! We process your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG-new) and the Telecommunications Digital Service Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

II. Which data processing takes place?

1. Orders

We use data that you make available to us during the ordering process (e.g. name, addresses, email addresses, bank details) to fulfill contracts or to carry out pre-contractual measures.

Why is this data processed?

Order processing: We process this data for the purpose of taking orders, shipping, invoicing, payment processing, customer service, collection and, if necessary, for enforcing or defending legal claims arising from the delivery relationship. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 b) GDPR. When processing orders, we are supported by external service providers (call center agencies). They process your data exclusively in accordance with our instructions and not for their own purposes. If invoices are not paid despite multiple reminders, we will, if necessary, transmit data to debt collection companies for the purpose of fiduciary collection; The legal basis is also Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR.

Dispatch of the ordered goods: The dispatch of the ordered goods is handled in cooperation with various transport companies. In doing so, we pass on the data required for the purpose of delivering the ordered goods to these transport companies. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 b) GDPR.

How long is this data stored? Do I have to provide this data?

We may store your data for as long as this is necessary to fulfill the contract. We are allowed to store a lot of your data at least until the contract has been fulfilled and then within the regular limitation period of 3 years. In order to assert or defend legal claims, we may store data until the expiry of the maximum periods of limitation. If we are obliged to store certain data, we are entitled to store this data until the retention periods specified in Section 257 of the German Commercial Code and Section 147 of the Fiscal Code have expired. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 c) GDPR in connection with these laws. These periods are up to 10 years.

2. Configurator website

When you visit our website, we process your IP address, the date and time of your visit, information about your browser including language settings and, if applicable, your operating system, the address of the website from which you came to our website (referrer URL ) and information about the files you have accessed. Your browser automatically transmits this data to your Internet provider, which then transmits it to us.

Why is this data processed?

We process this data so that you can load our website, for the purpose of analyzing and ensuring the security of our systems, for optimizing our website and for statistical purposes. We cannot assign this data to a specific person. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in our website being displayed correctly on your screen and in being able to determine and rectify the causes of any disruptions.

We use the services of tuneful ROI KG, Brauhausstraße 50, 22041 Hamburg ("tuneful") for the presentation and hosting of this website. Tuneful receives the data mentioned in section II. as an order processor.

How long is this data stored? Do I have to provide this data?

This data is stored in log files for a maximum of 30 days. The provision of this data is not mandatory and not required for the conclusion of a contract. However, a visit to our website without processing this data would not be possible for technical reasons.

3. Cookies on this website

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files containing an identification number. Cookies are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit our website. 4. Piwik PRO

We use the web analysis service Piwik PRO from Piwik PRO GmbH, Kurfürstendamm 21, 10719 Berlin (hereinafter “Piwik PRO”). Cookies are set with which we can analyze your user behavior.

With Piwik PRO we evaluate information about your visits to our website (e.g. sequence of sub-pages accessed) for analysis purposes in order to understand how visitors use our website. The purpose is to analyze the click behavior of visitors to our website so that we can continually adapt our website to your needs and improve it for you.

Piwik PRO opt-out

Piwik PRO processes your data on our behalf. For this purpose, we have concluded an order processing contract with Piwik PRO, which means that Piwik PRO is not considered a “third party”. Your data will only be processed within the EU/EEA. There is no data transfer to third countries outside the EU and the EEA.

5. Assignment of a customer number

If you place an order on this site, we assign this order to your customer number. If you are a new customer, we will assign you a new customer number.

Why is this data processed?

Your customer data will be processed for the purpose of simplifying and accelerating the processing of this and future orders.

We may process the data you provide when you place your order on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 b) GDPR if this is necessary to fulfill a contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures; in this respect, Section II.1 applies. In addition, we may process data that you voluntarily provided to us upon registration in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 a) GDPR and Art. 49 Para. 1 a) GDPR if you have consented to this processing.

How long is this data stored? Do I have to provide this data?

If you have not placed an order in this shop for more than 2 years since your last order, the customer number assigned to you will be deleted. We may be after II.1. entitled to longer storage.

III. Will my data be passed on to third parties?

If necessary, some of your data will also be passed on to the following recipients if this is necessary to fulfill the contract (Art. 6 Para. 1 b) DSGVO), we are legally obliged to do so (Art. 6 Para. 1 c) DSGVO) or this to protect is necessary for our legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR):

IV. How long will my data be stored?

Your personal data will be deleted provided that there are no legal storage obligations to the contrary and if you have asserted a claim for deletion, if the data is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which it was stored or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons. In order to assert or defend legal claims, we may store data until the expiry of the maximum periods of limitation. V. What rights do I have in relation to my data?

1. Right of withdrawal

If you have consented to data processing, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. The revocation does not affect the legality of the processing until the revocation. The revocation can be declared in an e-mail to datenschutz@strauss.de or with the addition "Privacy Policy" by post to the address given under number 1 above. After revocation, the data will no longer be processed. This does not apply if we are legally entitled or obliged to do so.

2. Right to information (Article 15 GDPR)

Under the conditions of Art. 15 GDPR, you can request information from us as to whether and which data we process from you. If we process personal data from you, you can also request information about the circumstances and structure of the processing and more detailed information on the processed data.

3. Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR)

You can request the correction and, under certain circumstances, the completion of your data in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR.

4. Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)

You have the right that we delete your data immediately under the conditions of Art. 17 DSGVO. The right to erasure does not exist, among other things, if the processing of the personal data is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfill a legal obligation to which we are subject (e.g. statutory storage obligations) or to assert, exercise and Defense of Legal Claims.

5. Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)

According to Art. 18 GDPR, you can request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

6. Notification obligation (Article 19 GDPR)

In accordance with Art. 19 GDPR, we are obliged to inform all recipients to whom personal data has been disclosed of corrections, deletions and restrictions on the processing of your personal data. Exceptions may exist if this is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort.

7. Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

8. Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

9. Automated individual decision-making including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR)

We also ensure your rights under Art. 22 GDPR. You or your data are therefore not the subject of decisions on our website that are based exclusively on automated processing - including profiling.


10. Right to complain (Art. 77 GDPR)

You have the right to lodge data protection complaints with the competent data protection authority if you have reason to complain.
